Winter Ootd in Riga

I can't believe it's already a month since we was in Riga, Latvia. Time really fly. Yet it seems like it was just yesterday when we was visiting our friends and family. It was crazy since it was still winter, we got to experience a bit of snow, which we don't have here. And we had just a week, so we planed as much as we can to visit as many people as we can, even if only for coffee dates. It was marathon. We was tired, but happy to see everyone and we got an afternoon to explore Old Riga. Which have become even more beautiful then we remember it. We even walked to my University faculty and as a True tourist I had to take a snap next to that door. Sadly my faculty have moved and I think new students will miss out a lot of this beautiful architecture which it was surrounded by. That always made my day, since I never planned be in this faculty. Well that is another story, which I will share with you some day. 

It was very hard to pick photos to share with you, because there are so many of them, there's so much beauty to see. I hope you'll have some day a chance to see Riga yourself.

Here I have to explain myself. This top photo of me is from back in the day when I was student heading home after lectures. We had this crazy idea to snap photo sitting on sphinx, so being again there I had to take photo.

It's no joke how cold it was. We had layers on layers , yet we was freezing nonstop, because we don't have such a winters in Ireland, so we don't have proper winter clothes. So here is ootd photo, I had to have since I fell in love in this old building. I think it's amazing photoshoot spot .

It's that time of the year when you love songs wishing you a Merry Christmas. I can't wait to decorate our Christmas tree, wrap gifts and watch all the Christmas movies. But first we have to get gifts sorted out.

Saturday we had a chance to run some errands and we picked up few gifts too. So delighted, yet there is more to have been done. Just before it got too dark we snap few photos at Winterval Christmas Market, passing by all wooden huts. Sadly less and less there can be found crafters with handmade pieces. I sometimes wonderful what we all are looking for in gifts.. I never want to disappoint anyone with gifts what I give, yet there's always a budget and lots of trying to remember what would I heard through the year someone wishing for. But mostly it's lots of guessing happening and sometimes panicking.

  I would prefer this look with shoes, but the weather have turned into boot weather. The last time when I tried to wear shoes (in mid of October) I was freezing. I'll admit, I still will try to incorporate shoes in my outfits. Somehow I can't let go them. I don't feel like my wardrobe is ready this time for Fall/Winter. There are few more things on my wishlist, but there's no time for shopping and to be honest I don't want to spend money on clothes, since my wardrobe seem to be full. Maybe it's the sign that there should be some wardrobe organizing/cleaning done. And my favorite jeans (from this post) have ripped completely. I knew that day isn't far away, yet I wasn't ready to let go. I'm creature of habit. There's definitely some shopping on the way, not sure when and how lucky I will be, because I want to get it right.

 We have had wonderful two weeks having guest. I can't believe that just in few days she will fly away. This last week have been hard since I'm fighting with bad cold. To be honest I can't remember when I was so ill before, I have forgotten how horrible it is. Most of all I feel guilty since these are our last days together. Weather is beautiful, sunny, warm days. I hope it isn't all what we will have here in Ireland as Summer. I'm really enjoying getting out my tees. Can't wait for more skirt and dresses moments as well. Wishing you a happy weekend!

Pairing a few of my favorites today.  My trusty breton top, camo vest, jeans and boots. My love to brooches have followed me even to Ireland and small collection (some traveled from Latvia, some gifted) have appeared on my camo vest. My inspiration for embellishing vest came from here. Love this look. This time of year sunglasses are must. The sun is brighter (finally), days are warming up and we can have few less layers. We decided to drive all the way up to Slievecoiltia and have a walk to show our lovely guest how beautiful and different is the view in Summer time. Somehow she always have visited us early in Spring. Sky was clear and we could see all way to the ocean. So magnificent.

 Monday have gone in a flash. We have guest visiting from Latvia, so every day is very busy filled with wonderful moments. It's so great when someone visit us, but to be honest it can be like having second job. Days and hours just fly. She's here already for 3days and will stay for nearly two weeks, so please, bear with me. I will try my best to update and say hello to all of you.

I love embroidered pieces. Embroidery is very pretty, delicate and as romantic, feminine and timeless as lace. Couldn't even be more perfect for Summer. I love to pair with casual pieces to dress up casual jeans. Effortlessly.

We're having very weird weather. By May it should be not just sunny, but warm as well, yet it's still knit, beanie and coat kind of weather. This gorgeous light blue leather jacket have been wonderful saver and I can escape with light layers. I'm gonna be honest I'm loosing ideas what to wear. Simple and causal it's been just to keep me warm from those crazy winds. But I'm daydreaming about bare legs, dresses and skirts. Well June is not so far away, fingers cross it will bring hot sunny days and no more crazy winds.

We thought we have seen all beautiful gardens here in sunny South East of Ireland, but  this hidden gem we missed. Early Sunday morning we was pulled out form bed with friends phone call. They wanted to show us Mount Congreve Garden and have there some cup of coffee with cakes. We didn't thought long and got ready for adventure. After crazy windy and rainy night morning and all day turned out beautifully sunny. We couldn't ask for more. It's definitely place where to return.
