Bare Necessity

I'm not flats kind of girl, but there are some days when heels are not an option. I wear them very rarely, so I don't spend on them much. I have on my mind to get some flat shoes, I haven't much looked for, but whenever I'll see something pretty and not expensive I'll get. Or maybe I once again change my mind and add some extra to by heels.

I've been living in a jeans pretty much all the time. This Irish Summer haven't gave many chances for skirts and dresses, but to be honest I'm not complaining. I am jeans girl. I feel comfortable mixing and matching jeans and different tops. I only wish I had a bigger collection of jeans and lately I had a look what there is available in shops. So far not impressed, well to be honest I haven't been searching properly, just haven't been in a shopping mood since Spring. I have my wishlist, but what I see in shops is not what I want. And I believe that when you stop looking for something it comes to you. Because best things in my life have come to me when I stopped looking for them.

First photo is attempt to repeat this photo back from 2009 (I think). It was way before Strike a Pose blog.
My eyes look tired and sad in these photos. I was already feeling very bad that day. I tried my best to disguise my bad cold with floral prints and brighter colors. And cheer myself up, because I didn't want to spoil our friends visit to us. I know she didn't think like that, yet still I wanted pull myself together. On days like these I like to make more effort on my outfit, because my eyes can't lie yet I do keep it a bit relaxed. Like this time pairing with one of my favorite t-shirt. I think by now you know that I like to mix up.

Sunday came cold yet sunny. We was celebrating International Women's Day in our own way. I hope you all my beautiful, wonderful and strong ladies had a happy International Women's Day. We was catching any warm sunbeam and I couldn't help myself not to wear something brighter and floral. I thought I have to show that I'm actually wearing my New Balance, maybe lately way too much, but they keep my freezing feet warm and comfy.
Our new vintage camera Zenit came to us as home decor or addition to collection. When my fiance took a look at it he realize that we could try to take some photos and since then we've been excited  taking it anywhere with us carefully picking out what to capture. Fingers cross we'll get some photos, because we're not 100% sure it's working. But what a joy it have been.

These been such a busy days. Getting ready last week for 4th of July celebrations here in New Ross, participating with Strike a Pose Jewellery in Crafts and Artisan marque on the Quay. Making new jewellery piece, taking photos and editing. Finding little gifts for mam, my brother and granny to send to Latvia. And just life by itself in everyday. 

And let me tell you how lucky I feel that I remembered to take a peek at Zara's sale and got these heeled sandals. I've been on hunt for year for sandals like these. They was such a steal. Such a pretty grey color and so simple design. Love them. 


I'm beaming from inside, I had a first sale on my Etsy shop!!!!! Was so excited and a bit worried to get done packaging pretty and as much as perfect I can. Fingers cross that after long shipping to America it will arrive as pretty as it was sent out and will bring many happy moments.

As much as I love these rose print camo trousers yet I found myself wearing not as often as I should. Somehow I find hard to pair them into any new looks. I really have to press myself hard to find new pairings, but it still doesn't work always. I think they would look so pretty with dusty pink or blush colours as well as white shirt. If you have any suggestions how to style them, please, let me know in comments.

Keeping It Real To Your Personality

We had beautiful Sunday just for two of us. After busy week it's always what we are looking forward. It seems like it's blooming everywhere and you can feel the scent in the cool, fresh Spring air. It was  a bit too chilly to wear skirt or dress (what I would prefer), so layers of chambray and jacket paired with one of my favorite trousers and with girly bow shoes. To keep it casual and playful my Mickey Mouse baseball T-shirt seem too cute to not to wear on this day. Delighted that I picked it up last year on sales rack.  I love incorporating prints into my outfits, but let’s be honest styling prints can be tricky. The way is to pair the printed piece with like colors and don't be afraid to dress up or down. It's all about keeping it real to your personality.
