Bare Necessity

I'm not flats kind of girl, but there are some days when heels are not an option. I wear them very rarely, so I don't spend on them much. I have on my mind to get some flat shoes, I haven't much looked for, but whenever I'll see something pretty and not expensive I'll get. Or maybe I once again change my mind and add some extra to by heels.

 Yay it's Friday and yay for little cute, white tops exist, because they are taking over my wardrobe. There is something so sweet about white top with delicate detail (lace, crochet and embroidered), but I'm almost too into white these days because I'm having to make a conscious effort to wear color. Perhaps it's because I'm so busy at work and perhaps winter days have been so gloomy that white is just easy, fresh and clean looking. It's darling with jeans and I threw over my shoulders leather jacket for edginess (thanks god for the +13C). And I couldn't say no to striped beanie.

I love mix of sheer and knit, oversized and fitted. I love mixing. It adds playfulness and effortless chic to outfit. This is minimal look yet because of mixed patterns and bright lace it draws attention a bit more. I transformed my lovely floral cross body bag to clutch bag. I think even simple details like this add a bit different vibe to look.

I've been living in a jeans pretty much all the time. This Irish Summer haven't gave many chances for skirts and dresses, but to be honest I'm not complaining. I am jeans girl. I feel comfortable mixing and matching jeans and different tops. I only wish I had a bigger collection of jeans and lately I had a look what there is available in shops. So far not impressed, well to be honest I haven't been searching properly, just haven't been in a shopping mood since Spring. I have my wishlist, but what I see in shops is not what I want. And I believe that when you stop looking for something it comes to you. Because best things in my life have come to me when I stopped looking for them.

 We had first warm (+25C) and sunny day in a months and I went for grey and black. Just a bit of cheerful color in my little bag and pink Swarovski crystal bracelet from Strike a Pose Jewelry Swarovski collection. There's no reason or explanations, I wear what I want and like. Like lately here have been lots of causal looks, pretty much mixing and matching the same pieces. Maybe I'm one of the worst fashion or style bloggers here, but I'm staying true to myself and I want to say that it's ok not get pressed by anything and just do what you want.

It was last day of our darling friend visit, so we had to use our time to the max filled with wonderful moments. I wasn't yet feeling better, but I tried my best. I suggested after morning in Waterford go to Dunmore East. It's so picture perfect seaside village and because day was warm and sunny it would look even more beautiful. It didn't disappoint us. I loved to see how her face lit up  and we was hearing lots of oh and awww when we just got out of car. It made my day.

I wish I could wear that day dress, but since I wasn't well I went for trousers. This pair was sitting in my wardrobe for year or maybe two. So embarrassing. The problem was when I bought them they was way too long for me and I couldn't find person who could neatly do the job for me. Just last year I discovered them again when cleaning out my wardrobe and  when our friend came I asked her kindly to tailor them for me. I didn't want to get rid of them just because they are completely different kind of trouser what I have and sometimes different is good.

First photo is attempt to repeat this photo back from 2009 (I think). It was way before Strike a Pose blog.
My eyes look tired and sad in these photos. I was already feeling very bad that day. I tried my best to disguise my bad cold with floral prints and brighter colors. And cheer myself up, because I didn't want to spoil our friends visit to us. I know she didn't think like that, yet still I wanted pull myself together. On days like these I like to make more effort on my outfit, because my eyes can't lie yet I do keep it a bit relaxed. Like this time pairing with one of my favorite t-shirt. I think by now you know that I like to mix up.

In this post there's lots of finally. Finally it's sunny and warm. Finally it's bare legs. Finally it's perfect weather for lace skirt. Finally we both are in photo. Thanks to our friend we both are in lots of photos. We had wonderful Sunday in picture perfect Inistioge. It was already week ago yet feels like just an hour ago. Yesterday she went back. It's always hard to say goodbye. Yet we are left with lots of wonderful memories and great spent time together.
