TuTu for tomboy

hat- FandF, scaf- Strike a Pose, jumper- vero moda, TuTu- gifted, bag -TK Maxx, jacket- Swamp

As much as I love my tomboy outfits yet now and then there's always coming out some girly side of me. When I was a small my mam loved to dress up me pretty and cute- in ruffles, pastels, lace and flowers. I was so heartbroken when I grown out of all my pretty dresses, skirts and my mam decided to give them to someone else. Then in my wardrobe start to appear some clothes from my older brother. Oh, I was so proud, because he was looking after me and all my days I was spending playing with boys- climbing in trees, building forts and playing bandits and policemen or war. That was so much fun! I must add that I'm six years younger than my brother, so he is really my big brother and at the time I so was looking up to him, because he could do and he knew so much cool things. And to have from him some cool T-shirt or pair of old jeans was like blending in in this cool boys gang and being one of them.
For years in my wardrobe I had just one skirt or dress, because I so loved to wear my jeans and growing up happened so many changes with me and even boy from the same gang began to look at me different, so quite naturally I was excluded from the gang and I notice some nice girls in my neighborhood and it was new chapter, but I always stayed true to my style even having some girly moments there always had a bit of tomboy.

Peace, joy and ♥

  6. You look so pretty and warm with all your bright colors and layers. I was neither a tom boy or a girly girl. I wanted to be in my room reading a book. I still do that, but I care about what I wear :)

  8. What a sweet telling of the evolution of your style, Ramona! Its so nice that your style will always have that connection to your brother :) Personally, I think that you always look well put together no matter what style you choose but the addition of a ruffled tutu to this winter ensemble is just the perfect choice. And all of the colours look so lovely together!

  14. This is adorable! I love the pops of color in your outfit and the tulle skirt is lovely. I'm with ya, I went through the girly girl phase, as well growing up. Mainly wearing lots of ruffles and pinks but now, not so much. Though, it is nice to indulge that side once in awhile:) Have a nice weekend!

  36. Your journey from princess to tomboy to young lady sounds oh so familiar. I agree, perhaps our current wardrobes retain a little bit of who we were and still are. I had an adolescent phase where I wore my tiny uncle's hand-me-down clothes and was proud when the boys thought I was one of them! - J xx
